Rules and terms – Advent Calendar 2026

Applies to Guldviva's Advent Calendar, 1–24 December 2026.

Here is how the advent calendar works – and what applies when you take part. By signing up you accept the terms below.

1. Organiser

The advent calendar is organised by Guldviva, GULDVIVA AB, Mariehamn, Åland (“Guldviva”). Questions about the calendar: hello@guldviva.com.

2. Period

The calendar runs from 1 to 24 December 2026. You can sign up at any time during this period, but doors that have already passed cannot be opened afterwards.

3. Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You live in a country Guldviva ships to.
  • One entry per person and email address. Duplicate entries, automated requests or any other attempt to influence the outcome will end your participation.
  • Guldviva employees and members of their households cannot take part.

Participation is free and no purchase is required.

4. How to take part

  1. Enter your email address on the calendar page and confirm it via the link in the confirmation email. Only then are you in.
  2. Every day from 1 to 24 December you'll receive an email with a personal link to your calendar. You can also reach the calendar by entering your email address on the calendar page.
  3. The day's door can be opened from 00:00 to 23:59 (Finnish time) on that day. A door that isn't opened on its day stays closed.
  4. Each door can be opened once per participant.

By signing up you agree to receive the advent calendar emails and Guldviva's newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the emails – this also ends your participation in the calendar.

5. Prizes

There is a prize behind every door. The prize is drawn at random the moment you open the door and can be:

  • The day's jewel – a handmade piece in recycled 925 silver from Guldviva (main prize, one piece per day).
  • A gift card for guldviva.com.
  • Free shipping on your next order.
  • A discount code for one purchase.

The number of prizes per day is limited. Prizes are personal, cannot be transferred and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.

6. Discount codes and free shipping

  • The code is personal and valid for one purchase.
  • The code is valid on orders from €50 (or the equivalent in your currency) until 31 January 2027.
  • The code does not apply to 18K gold jewellery, wedding and engagement rings, chains and accessories, or gift cards.
  • The code cannot be combined with other discount codes or offers.

7. Gift cards

The gift card is personal and linked to the email address you take part with. It is applied automatically at checkout when you shop on guldviva.com with the same email address and cannot be redeemed for cash.

8. The day's jewel

  • If you win the day's jewel, you'll see it right in the door. We will then contact you by email to confirm your delivery address and size, if applicable.
  • Reply within 14 days of hearing from us – otherwise the prize is forfeited.
  • The jewel is shipped free of charge. It cannot be exchanged for money, another piece or store credit.
  • By taking part you agree that your first name and town may be mentioned in Guldviva's channels if you win the day's jewel.

9. Personal data

Your email address and any details you choose to provide when signing up are used to run the calendar, contact winners and – with your consent – send Guldviva's newsletter. The data is processed in our email tool Klaviyo. Read more in our privacy policy.

10. Other

  • Guldviva reserves the right to change these terms, replace a prize with one of equivalent value, or cancel the calendar if technical problems, abuse or circumstances beyond our control require it.
  • Guldviva is not responsible for emails that don't arrive, technical problems on the participant's side, or missed doors.
  • The calendar is Guldviva's own and is not affiliated with Meta, Google or any other platform.

Good luck – and merry Christmas from all of us on Åland!

Where is my jewellery from?

Guldviva was born in Åland in 1989, and has been made here ever since. For us, it has always been important to have full control over the entire manufacturing process, where jewellery production and sales go hand in hand. This way, we can ensure the highest quality and personal service. You always know where your jewellery comes from – from here in Åland.

Åland, my home and source of inspiration

Guldviva’s founder, head goldsmith and designer, Maria Karlström, is the soul behind the jewelry. For her, Åland is more than her story and home; it is her greatest source of inspiration.

— For me, Åland has always been my great sense of security. This is where I can breathe in the calm, live and create. I have always made jewelry based on my love for Åland, my home. Our nature here is so beautiful, and I have always seen jewelry all around me. That’s why it has also been important to me that the entire production takes place right here, because this is where the whole creation happens – from idea to piece of jewelry. That way I can also ensure that our quality is maintained and permeates the entire craftsmanship.

Maria still masters the entire process – from raw metal to finished piece – in her own workshop. Her philosophy is based on combining traditional techniques with a personal story. New methods are important, but it is classic craftsmanship that makes it possible to create jewellery that both works in practice and stands out from the crowd.

The award Goldsmith of the Year 2025 is far from Maria’s first success. She has previously won the competition Most Beautiful Ring of the Year (2022 and 2024), received Åland’s 75th Anniversary Medal, and was named Ålander of the Year for Positive Attitude (2008).
